When you develop and execute SAS code that contains macros within SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.x/5.4.x, it is possible that the syntax color highlighting functionality within the session editor will not behave as expected. The unexpected behavior occurs if a semicolon is omitted following a macro call statement.
Note: Macro call statements are not required to terminate with a semicolon.
The workaround to preserve syntax color highlighting within the session is to end all macro statements with a semicolon.
The issue is addressed in SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4.1.
